Mental Health Issues are one of the biggest issues Australians are facing today. We will all be affected at some point in our lives, whether it is ourselves, a family member a friend or someone at work, it is important for us all to keep a regular check on our own mental health and support those around us by connecting with others regularly and starting a simple conversation to see how they are really doing.
As someone who has had their own battles with anxiety and depression I know only too well the integral role that good nutrition, regular exercise, being in nature, connecting with others in the community and contributing to something bigger than oneself plays in being and staying well.
As a Personal Trainer I wanted to use both my professional and personal experience to create an event that would not only benefit the wellbeing of participants but create awareness in the greater community as well.
Feel Good Fridays - Pilates by the Sea is a Donation based Pilates/Yoga/Meditation Class held every Friday morning on the beach.
It is all about connecting with others in the local community and doing something that is good for ourselves whilst contributing to the mental wellbeing of all Australians at the same time by donating funds to The Black Dog Institute.
This is a donation based class where the participant gives what they choose and in return completes their week by doing something great for their own physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
